HMRC have announced that with effect from today the Check a UK VAT number API has been changed from an application-restricted API, to an open access API.
Whilst this will not affect Synergy at all (it is already capable of accessing restricted or unrestricted) this is likely to mean that more applications can gain access to the API without having to gain any level of recognition from HMRC.
