Synergy Accounts requires a 32 bit or 64 bit Windows operating system (Windows 8 or higher, Windows 10 64 bit recommended), at least 100mb of free hard disk space, and a Windows compatible printer if you wish to print out reports and documents. More disk space may be required as you start to use the program, but the amount of space required will vary with the configuration you have selected and the way that you use the application.
The program will run with SVGA screen resolution (1024 x 768 256 colours), but best results will be achieved using a higher resolution and 32 bit colour or higher – full HD 1920 x 1080 or higher recommended.
If you wish to use a Network version of the software you will need suitable Network hardware and a Network Operating System. Gigabit or Fast Ethernet is preferable as a minimum, although standard Ethernet can be used. If you wish to use a standard Peer to Peer Network (normal Windows networking with a file based database) the Network must be set up and working with a shared drive mapped to an otherwise unused drive letter before Synergy Accounts is installed. If you wish to use a Client / Server version you need not map a network drive but will need to run separate installs for each Client and for the Server machine if you want to run Synergy on it. Regardless of network configuration you will need to purchase the appropriate number of Network Licenses for the software to allow you to install the system on the required number of machines.
If you wish to use Microsoft SQL Server as the database back end, the system requirements specified by Microsoft must also be met. SQL Server should be installed on your network, tested, and working before you install Synergy.
If you wish to use the Internet and automatic update features of the software you will also need an internet connection. A fast broadband connection is of course preferable.
If your system supports it and you wish to use the Communications features within the program (for example telephone dialling) then you will need a modem and a telephone connection.
Any modern Windows PC will have plenty of resources to run the application.
